Multi-platinum country music artist and Macon native Jason Aldean will make his first-ever visit to the Georgia Music Hall of Fame for a tour of the Macon landmark on Saturday January 23 at 1PM ET. Aldean takes great pride in his Georgia roots and has a special reverence for the rich musical history of the state, growing up with the sounds of the Allman Brothers Band, Otis Redding and more, who have all influenced the sound and style of the country rocker.

This holiday season, the Aldean Army once again proved that they are the best fans in the world. Extending an annual tradition from 2007, a few Aldean Army members met on the boards several months ago to put together a special gift for Jason and the band. Besides the personalized stockings and their respective stuffers, the makeshift Army task force wanted to include an extra special gift this year. Super Aldean Army member KurtsKYGirl explains:

“This year we decided that we wanted to give Jason some type of plaque/award because he had such a great year but was still getting shunned by all the awards shows, etc. So we finally decided to do an Entertainer of the Year sort of thing, because Jason is OUR Entertainer!”

Who needs big national awards when you have fans like these?

After months of planning and coordination in the Aldean Army boards, several super fans presented the special plaque and stockings to Jason and the band in Johnson City, the final tour stop of 2009. Here are a few photos from that meeting, as shared by Aldean Army member KurtsKYGirl:
