Jason Aldean Has The Hottest Ringtone in All Genres!

NASHVILLE, TN – Aug. 3 2009 – Country music star Jason Aldean’s “Big Green Tractor” is turning into the biggest hit of his career with a soaring number of digital downloads and now ringtones as well. The summer smash has spent four consecutive weeks at the top of iTunes’ all-genre ringtone chart.

Additionally, among Verizon’s 84 million subscribers, it is this week’s No. one most downloaded ringtone, in front of such megastars as The Black Eyes Peas, Mariah Carey and the late Michael Jackson.   Aldean’s “Big Green Tractor” is consistently more than doubling any other country song on the Ringscan chart.

JASON ALDEAN IS HEADED FOR GOLD WITH THE LIVE CONCERT DVD BEFORE IT HITS STORES AUG. 25

NASHVILLE, TN – Aug. 17, 2009 – Anticipation is mounting for the release of chart-topping country rocker Jason Aldean’s electric live concert DVD WIDE OPEN LIVE & MORE as pre-orders put it on the pace for GOLD even before its release date next week of Tues., Aug. 25.

“I’ve never been prouder of anything…really ever,” says Aldean.  “My live show is the basis for everything I do…it’s usually the first thing I think about when I’m trying to decide what songs we record and release.  My band and crew work so hard to deliver a kick-ass show night after night…even on the hottest day in August…so this feels like the ultimate reward for all of us.

The 15-song hi-definition special captures Aldean’s high-octane stage show and includes his current Top 5 and best selling single “Big Green Tractor” and the multi-week No. one and GOLD-certified “She’s Country” from his most recent album WIDE OPEN; as well as all the radio hits and fan-favorite album cuts from his first two releases JASON ALDEAN and RELENTLESS.

Addionally, Aldean’s concert ticket sales have doubled since the release of his critically acclaimed third album in early April. The new album is fueling concert sell-outs from California east to Virginia and Louisiana north to Michigan.

“Back in the spring, it felt like we were doing ok, you know…like we were starting to get rolling after a few months off for the holidays,” explains Aldean.  “And then about the time ‘She’s Country’ started really peaking, things just exploded. We’re just doing what we’ve always done…but now crowds are bigger and rowdier than they’ve ever been.  I played every dirty little hole-in-the-wall bar across the Southeast for years working my way up to this, so there’s absolutely no better feeling than hitting the stage to that kind of crowd now.”

Fans can catch Aldean headlining his WIDE OPEN tour through the Fall.  He will also appear on an episode of E!’s highly rated late night talk show Chelsea Lately tonight at 10pm / 11pm CST, and on ABC’s CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock on Aug. 31.

“BIG GREEN TRACTOR” GOES STRAIGHT TO #1

JASON ALDEAN RIDES
“BIG GREEN TRACTOR”
STRAIGHT TO NO. ONE THIS WEEK

Single is Second Consecutive No. One
Hit from Top-Selling Third Album

NASHVILLE, TN – Aug. 24, 2009 – After only 14 weeks, platinum selling country rocker Jason Aldean’s  “Big Green Tractor” plowed through the Top 10 and planted itself in the No. one position on both radio charts today.  The laid back country love song is the second consecutive No. one hit from Aldean’s critically acclaimed third album WIDE OPEN.

“This thing has just taken on a life of its own…the crowd used to be screaming for ‘She’s Country’ and ‘Hicktown,” and by the end of the first song, they are holding up “Tractor’ signs and going crazy,” said Aldean.  “Back-to-back number one’s…I’ll never get tired of the way this feels!   I have so much to be grateful for this year.  A big thanks goes to everyone at my label and all my friends at radio, who continue to prove that if we give ’em something worth playing, they’ll be there for us.  You guys rock!”

The smash hit has continually set the pace for country digital downloads at 50,000 per week, and it also continues to be the second best-selling ring tone in all genres with an average 30,000 per week.   “Big Green Tractor” also topped 16 million myspace streams this week.

Aldean’s first-ever live concert DVD WIDE OPEN LIVE & MORE is in stores tomorrow.   For more news and an updated tour schedule, visit www.jasonaldean.com.

Atlanta Braves Player Adam LaRoche and Family and Ft. Scott Youth Activities Team to Host

Ft. Scott, Kansas – (August 20, 2009) – Ropin’ and Rockin’ for Pennies for the Park, a day long event combining a rodeo competition and a concert from popular country rocker Jason Aldean, will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Bourbon County Fairgrounds in Ft. Scott, Kansas.  Opening for Aldean will be Kevin Blake Weldon, country music recording artist and host of the TV show BADBOB & JIMMY’S POSTED PLACES.  Monies raised from the event will benefit a family oriented venue for area youth.

The event was created by Atlanta Braves first baseman and native Kansan Adam LaRoche as a way to charitably give back to his local hometown.  LaRoche, who made his Major League debut in April, 2004,  spent three seasons with the Atlanta Braves at first base prior to being traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2007.  He was traded to the Boston Red Sox on July 22, 2009, and after only spending six games with Boston, he was dealt back to his former team, the Atlanta Braves, on July 31, 2009.  Adam and his wife Jennifer, son Drake and daughter Montana spend the off-season at their beloved E3 ranch in Ft. Scott, Kansas.  The celebrated LaRoche baseball family includes Adam, his younger brother Andy LaRoche, third baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates, older brother Jeff, a former minor league pitcher and his father Dave LaRoche, a former major league baseball pitcher and now a pitching coach in the Toronto Blue Jays organization.

The highlight of the day’s activities will be a special concert by multi-million selling country music recording artist Jason Aldean.  Wide Open, Aldean’s third album, was certified Gold after only ten weeks selling over a half a million copies.  She’s Country, the first single, stayed in the #1 spot for two weeks and was certified gold with over a half a million digital downloads sold.  His current single, Big Green Tractor, is his fastest rising single to date currently at #9 after only 9 weeks on the charts.  Aldean’s first two albums sold more than two million copies with five smash hits and received critical acclaim and numerous award nominations.  Aldean will also be featured in a national advertising campaign for the new Wrangler Retro line of jeans.  The campaign will debut in late August.  He is the only artist other than George Strait to be featured in a national Wrangler television and print campaign.

The concert begins at 7:00 p.m.  General admission tickets are $25 for advance purchase and $35 for tickets purchased at the gate the day of the event.  Tickets will be available for purchase beginning August 20, 2009.

Ropin’ and Rockin’ for Pennies for the Park festivities will begin with a United States Team Roping Championship affiliate competition that will consist of a #11 (4 steer average) with a #10 Incentive (Incentive 3 steer average). The entry fee will be $100 per roper and participants can enter three times.  Entries will be cash only and entrants must have current USTRC 2009 membership.  USTRC Triad numbers only.  Prizes will include saddles to average winners of the #11 and buckles to average winners of the #10.  Books will open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 9:00 a.m. with the roping competition starting at 9:30 a.m.  Cattle furnished by C-S Cattle Company.  For more information on the roping competition contact Mike Qualls at 254/965-0353.

“We’re looking forward to beginning the day with an exciting roping competition and to have Jason and his band come out in the evening with a terrific concert,” said Adam LaRoche.  “Knowing that the charitable proceeds will benefit a great community youth project will add to the experience.”

“The Youth Activities Team is thrilled to join with the LaRoche Family in presenting this wonderful day of fun that will enable us to further the development of Ellis Park,” said Youth Activities Team member Tom Robertson.  “We are grateful to Adam LaRoche, Jason Aldean and Kevin Weldon for supporting our effort with this exciting event.”

About Pennies For The Park

Pennies For the Park is a project of the Ft. Scott Youth Activities Team (YAT) to benefit the Ellis Park project.  The major renovation project is designed to develop and expand the park to provide for a family oriented venue for local youth. Planned improvements call for a miniature golf course, sand volleyball courts, batting cages, a jogging and walking trail, picnic shelters, outside basketball courts and a playground area.  Local philanthropists Danny and Willa Ellis donated the park to the City of Fort Scott and Bourbon County in the early 1980s.  For more information on Pennies For the Park visit www.yatfortscott.com.
