Jason Sets 4th Annual “CONCERT FOR THE CURE” for Friday, June 12th
Country music fan favorite Jason Aldean will once again host his annual Jason Aldean: Concert For The Cure during CMA Music Festival at the Wildhorse Saloon to benefit Susan G. Komen For The Cure. Following his stadium performance, Aldean will invite a few special guests to join him for a late night concert that will also feature a silent auction with items from some of country music’s biggest stars. Fellow Georgia-native Luke Bryan is the first guest performer to be added to the lineup.
Breast cancer touched Aldean personally when a close family friend passed away from the disease at only 26 years old. Since that tragic loss, Aldean has been committed to lending his celebrity in the search for a cure.
“I know a lot of fans heard my friend Melissa’s story in the album special that GAC did,” says Aldean. “That two minute clip barely touch on how passionate I feel about this. I promise to make it the most rocking late night gig in downtown Nashville that night, and I hope people will come out to support this cause and help me remember Melissa.”
Tickets range from $25 to $100 and are available to fan club members this week and to the public beginning May 2 through www.jasonaldean.com and ticketmaster. A limited number of VIP Packages including tickets in the exclusive VIP lounge and meet & greet passes will also be available.
About Susan G. Komen for the Cure
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure®, we have invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world. During couch time on the The Bonnie Hunt Show last Thursday, Hunt surprised Aldean with a plaque commemorating the rare milestone before his performance of the smash hit.
“She’s Country” is also spending its second week at the top of the country chart, making the multi-week #1 Aldean’s first. CMT Crossroads Update from Bryan Adams
A few lucky Aldean Army members got to experience the CMT Crossroad taping firsthand, but here’s what Bryan wrote in his tour diary about his night with Jason:
That’s Jason Aldean in the hat. I figure I’m an honorary hillbilly, I sang about a tractor tonight.
Here’s me and Jason Aldean, the number one country singer in America this week, together we did CMT crossroads, which is a TV show taped in Nashville. IT was a blast, i sang harmonies, worked on my twang and jammed some fine ol’ country toons with the man here. Gary played piano, and the songs we cut of his were “She’s Country”, “Amarillo Sky”, “Why” and “Johnny Cash”. Of mine we sang “The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You”, “Summer of ’69”, “Back To You”, “Cuts Like A Knife” and “Heaven”.
Show airs sometime at the end of June. The hair is getting long on top, i think i need a cowboy hat. Jason says he’s gonna send me one, as his head is as big as mine. Back on tour starting today, hello U S of A!

Jason Releases “Big Green Tractor”
Following on the heels of his multi-week No. one and GOLD certified smash “She’s Country,” country rocker Jason Aldean is releasing his second single “Big Green Tractor” to radio on May 26.
“There’s nothin’ more romantic than a tractor,” laughs Aldean. “If you live in South Georgia, a Saturday night out on the tractor with your girl is probably not that far-fetched of what could be considered a good ‘date night.’ The song seems to be connecting already, so maybe tractors have always been romantic, and everybody just needed reminding.”
The laid-back country groove of “Big Green Tractor” was hailed “the best love song on WIDE OPEN” by The New York Times and has been the most buzzed about song at radio and in print since the album’s release.
“This might be the most-mass appeal song of Jason’s already white-hot career, pretty much a right-down-the-middle smash. You start singing along immediately.” Gregg Swedberg, Program Director/KEEY-Minneapolis
“Even ballads like “Fast” and “Big Green Tractor” pack more punch than most mainstream hits, their harmonics hinting at those of the ’70s installments of the Allman Brothers and the Charlie Daniels Band.” Washington Post
