The Country Music Association has announced Jason Aldean will be featured in its “CMA Fest” primetime television special, airing Wednesday, July 19 at 8/7c on ABC and available the next day on Hulu. He will be performing his new single “Try That In A Small Town.”

Hosted by Dierks Bentley, Elle King and Lainey Wilson, the three-hour concert event features can’t-miss collaborations and unforgettable performances that took place during the 50th anniversary of CMA Fest just last month in Nashville. What’s one thing that sets you apart from other Jason Aldean fans? I have been a Jason Aldean fan since the beginning of his career and I go to as many of his concerts and events as I can. I have been to so many that Jason now recognizes me and comes over to say hello and takes a photo together!!

Tell us your favorite Jason Aldean related story. I traveled to the ACM awards in Texas and Jason was walking the red carpet and I asked him if I could get a photo with him and he was so nice and came over and took a picture with me. I was so excited! I told Jason that my 60th birthday is on the exact same day that I will be at his concert in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and I was so excited to be celebrating my 60th with him! He said that’s great and he will look for me at the concert!

What is the farthest you have travelled for a Jason Aldean concert? From Denver, CO where I currently live all the way to Salt Lake City, UT! It was a fun summer road trip!

What’s one thing that sets you apart from other Jason Aldean fans? I’ve been a fan ever since I was little! I’ve been trying to see Jason every time he goes on tour ever since I was able to buy tickets and drive myself! It makes my year when I get to see him at least once! Jason always puts on an amazing show filled with good vibes!

Tell us your favorite Jason Aldean related story. When Jason performed in Denver in 2021, he sang every song he had because he hadn’t been on tour since before covid happened! It was my favorite concert and I will never forget that night. I also was able to see him perform a pre-show acoustic session that night with a Q&A! I loved learning more about him and his family in a more personal setting. He will always be my favorite country artist!

Jason Aldean has released a new single, “Try That In A Small Town” and it’s available now.

“Try That In A Small Town” is the latest music released from Aldean’s forthcoming new album and follows his national television debut performance of another new track, “Tough Crowd,” which he officially debuted at the ACM Awards.

Aldean said, “To me, this song summarizes the way a lot of people feel about the world right now. It seems like there are bad things happening on a daily basis, and that feels unfamiliar to a lot of us. This song sheds some light on that. Go give it a listen!”

What’s one thing that sets you apart from other Jason Aldean fans? I have fell in love with his music since I was 10. He was my first concert when I was 12, my first concert after I turned 21. I had my first legal drink at his bar in Nashville. I go to every concert of his that I possibly can. Top on my bucket list is to meet him and Brittany.

Tell us your favorite Jason Aldean related story. Handing the bouncer my ID 1 minute past midnight to enter his Rooftop Bar in Nashville. And touching his boot in my first time in the pit at a concert.

What’s one thing that sets you apart from other Jason Aldean fans? Livin’ the life he sings about. We own a hay farm in deep South Texas, we actually use John Deere tractors every day in our life. I grew up in a small town, Jason’s music takes me back to a time when I used to party on dirt roads, party on tailgates. Jason’s music reflects my past and my current life as well as the future, working hard to make a living, holding onto to land for my boys to farm and follow for generations. I actually live about the life he sings in his songs. I’ve met him once and it was an incredible experience, he was so humble and genuine, made me a fan for LIFE.

Tell us your favorite Jason Aldean related story. My favorite Jason Aldean story is meeting him in person….not much can top that! I met him in Arlington at the Dallas Cowboy arena! It was literally one of the BEST moments in my LIFE, besides marrying my best friend and having two super boys! Jason was so down to earth and humble, truly an honor to meet him and will forever be a fan! I was able to meet Brittany and some of the band too in San Antonio, they were all so gracious and friendly…definitely something I will NEVER forget! I’ve met so many other fans just because of our shared love of Jason…such a wonderful experience!

Tell us your favorite Jason Aldean related story. I was in a coma on a ventilator for 39 days in 2021. My family and friends said when sitting with me, they would play JA on their phones and knew I was hearing it because the monitors would show my heart rate increase every time. They hung one of the many JA concert shirts I have in my ICU room for me to see when I woke up! My recovery goal was to be strong enough health-wise to see him in Charlotte for my birthday in 2022 which I did!!!
